Saturday evening I began to feel a little off... and by 9:30 I found myself with a full blown case of the flu! Here it is, Monday, and I am still suffering from the effects... hopefully seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. I have finally managed to get down around 5 crackers since 8:00 AM... but my strength is at zero.
Now, what does this have to do with knitting... with the holidays right around the corner each day is crucial... there are projects to finish, and days have been wasted. I spent most of the day yesterday sleeping... (or in the bathroom!) Today, I am just really weak... I have picked up my knitting a couple of times... but I just can't seem to get it together. So... if your gift is late... my apologies!!!
As I have sat here drifting in and out of sleep over the past couple of days, I have realized how thankful I am for a few things....
... a nice warm home, with a comfy chair....
... a couple of fleece blankets, oh so warm....
... ginger ale!....
... a husband who has taken such good care of everything while I am down....
... kids who understand that mom is sick (or as Michael says, has germs!)....
... e-mails and e-card that make me laugh....
... naps....
... and I realize that there are those in this world who are sick who don't have these comforts that many of us take for granted. I have been blessed, and for God's provision I am truly thankful.
