There is a fight going on inside of you, a fight between two hungry wolves. One wolf is fear, envy sorrow and regret, greed, spite, arrogance, and self-pity. It is guilt, resentment, false pride, superiority, ego and unfaithfulness. The other wolf is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, and forgiveness. It is integrity, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faithfulness. The fight goes on and on, each one trying for control. Which wolf wins? It is the one you feed.
By far, one of my favorite quotes written by Kristen Heitzmann, who offers this and so much more in her book Indivisible, a book that I couldn't wait to get back to, time after time.
Throughout this book, Police Chief Jonah Westfall fights with the demons of his past, while fighting to create a future which includes the love of his life... who for so many reasons continues to keep herself just out of reach.
The masterful interweaving of characters plumps out this book nicely, leaving no character left behind. The addition of bringing today's real issues to a small town setting only served to make this story more real.
If you are looking for a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat on a long, dark, winters night, I suggest that you give this book a try!
My rating... a definite 4.5.... I would have given it a five but I had the ending figured out a little too early on.
Happy Reading!
Have a Blessed Day!
